The COSST Philosophy of Coaching Swimming

The COSST coaching staff is dedicated to creating a program that will not only give your children a strong physical skill that can be used the rest of their life, but also a program that is capable of teaching young athletes the value of long term goal making, a characteristic that will serve them in every endeavor throughout their life that they commit to.

The JV program stresses technique, the pre-varsity program builds on this strong technique to add endurance and strength that leads to the consistent success of those swimmers that dedicate themselves to making COSST's varsity program.

Each year Coach Jordan consistently sends 5% of the JV swimmers, 50 % of the Pre-Varsity swimmers, and 95% of the Varsity swimmers to the Louisiana State Meets, which are based on qualifying state cuts for each age group.
